UPCOMING EVENTS
Day of Service and Remembrance & 100 Ways to Make a Difference!, September 11th
The American Club of Sweden would like to encourage you to take time honor the memory of those lost during and after 9/11 and all victims of terrorist violence.
This year, the Club is joining hands with the Raoul Wallenberg Academy to translate their manifesto, “100 sätt att göra skillnad” (100 ways to make a difference). This initiative was launched last year as a means of motivating youth and others to participate in society and show civil courage. At present it is available in Swedish language only and the Club’s offer to translate it into English makes it accessible to an ever more diverse Swedish society in need of being reminded what civil courage means today.

56th Annual Golf Challenge and Alfa Romeo Giulia Launch, September 5th
Alfa Romeo and The American Club of Sweden are excited to welcome you to the Club’s 56th Annual Gunnar V.H. Rasmussen Golf Challenge and launch of the revolutionary new Giulia sports car! On Labor Day, September 5th, 2016 at Arlandastad Golf Club, members, guests and sponsors will have a friendly golf competition, exclusive access to the exceptional Giulia and a mingle followed by an evening dinner with special guests. The organizers and sponsors are committing all money raised from the day to Stockholms Stadsmission.
Too tied up during the day for golf or the test drive? In keeping with tradition, we will have an active day at the “19th hole” open to all members and their guests. Come out after work and join us for a beautiful fall evening for a great cause as we end the round with drinks, a prize ceremony and a meal.
With hundreds of people playing the course through the day and a more intimate dinner in the evening, this is a great opportunity for brand exposure and a fun event for employees, customers, prospects and friends. Please contact sponsors@amclubsweden.org if your organization is interested in supporting the event and charity!
Tour and Safety Day at Lidingö Fire Station, May 22nd
The Lidingö fire station has opened their doors to our Club and friends. On Sunday, May 22nd, between 1-3pm they will show us their trucks, have us try the breathing apparatus they use in smokey or toxic environments, crawl through smoke and extinguish fire on a doll to simulate how to help a friend in dire straits. We will gather just before 1pm and then, depending on response, be split into groups to try the different activities the firefighters have planned.
E-mail events@amclubsweden.org to express interest and receive further information/updates.
